Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

The object called samples from environmental section of Aves Cave 1 consist in 8 chunk of sediment samples (scrappy material) coming from the 4 sections sampled in the site for thin section analysis (CaseID9229) and where obtained by cutting/gridding the micromorphological samples, to make other analysis, and are identified like this:

Dolo: dolomite rock coming from section S1- sample S1E

S1B: sediment sample coming from section S1- sample S1B

S1C: sediment sample coming from section S1- sample S1C

S1D: sediment sample coming from section S1- sample S1D

S2B: sediment sample coming from section S2- sample S2B

S2E: sediment sample coming from section S2- sample S2E

S2REM: sediment sample coming from section S2- surface of sample S2H
