Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Collection of Sir Hugh Lane, London; sold to Sir Max Michaelis, 1913; donated to the South African nation by Sir Max Michaelis, 1914.

This painting represents a bust of Adonis crowned with laurel and cloaked with a pink drapery. The pendant to this work hangs in the Mauritshuis in The Hague.
