Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

District Six Parcel N Rubble Removal Monitoring

ProjectSummary: 

Rennie Scurr Adendorff was appointed to undertake archaeological monitoring of the removal of post-1960s demolition rubble from Parcel N, several erven in District Six on Erven 10010 and 117891-117898. This rubble removal precedes redevelopment of these erven for housing as part of the wider redevelopment of District Six by the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform (DRDLR) for the restitution of land to dispossessed families, as stipulated in terms of Constitutional and Land Court judgements in 2018 and 2019.
