ProjectSummary:
Site identification, documentation and assessment of extant built structures, originally constructed by the Netherlands South African Railway Company (Nederlandsche Zuid-Afrikaansche Spoorwegmaatschappij. NZASM). This reseach project, 'Footsteps Along the Tracks' (FAT) of the Department of Architecture at the University of Pretoria was carried out by Nicholas Clarke and Roger Fisher, assisted by Siphiwe Simelane. The FAT-project was co-funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy, Pretoria through the Shared Heritage Programme and adminstered by Enterprises University of Pretoria. The FAT research publication can be downloaded as ebook from http://www.repository.up.ac.za/handle/2263/57875.
