Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Site Comments:
A stone cairn of unknown purpose was recorded along the proposed access route that could mark a possible grave although it is more likely that the pile consists of cleared stones for agricultural purposes. The stone cairn is located under a fence, measures approximately 1.2 meter wide by 2 meter long and is aligned east to west. If any graves are located in future they should ideally be preserved in-situ or alternatively relocated according to existing legislation.
