History: Believed to have been designed by Sir Herbert Baker this sandstone building was erected during the last decade of the 19th Century. As a result of the depopulation of Rhodes the school fell into disuse about 15 years ago.
Visual Description: The facade is flanked by two gables at either end. Built in a U shape, the school has a roof of corrugated iron which extends over the beilding at the rear elevation to form a verandah which is supported by seven square stone pillars. Frost has weathered the base of several of these pillars rather severely. The interiors of the classrooms are in good condition.
