Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

History: This building with its Cape Dutch gables was the first church building of the Dutch Reformed congregation at Graaff-Reinet. It was erected in 1792. The rebuilding and alterations took place in 1945.
Visual Description: Free standing 5 bay Cape Dutch type house withhol bol gables and front verandah. Saddle roof (originally thatched) with holbol end and central gables with modern vent. Bullnose verandah roof on precast pillars with modern wrought iron fence between. Verandah also on right. Half glazed 3 x 3 panel double doorwith 3pane Edwardian fanlight. High 4 x 4 sashes with louvred shutters. Garage with holbol gable to the left of house.
