Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

History: This late-Victorian mansion, with its magnificent wooden decorated verandah, was designed in 1897 by D. W. Greatbatch for a member of the Diamond Syndicate, Gustav Bonus. John Orr, the well-known merchant, lived in the building from 1903 till his death in 1932. Thereafter Dunluce was occupied by members of the family until 1975 when Barlow Rand Limited bought the building, restored it and donated it to the McGregor Museum.
