Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation

History: This obelisk that is 36,5 metres in height was built of Kroonstad sandstone in memory of the 26 370 Boer women and children who died during the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902). It was unveiled on 16 December 1913.
