Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

History: Anglo-Boer War Military cemeteryfor British soldiers who died during the battleof Colenso on the 15th December 1899.
Visual Description: Granite plaque as one enters the cemetery, 5 Metal Crosses; small marble cross;2 metal crosses; marble headstone with the SA Light Horse Insignia; row of 5 metal crosses: small marble cross; 2 metal crosses; black granite memorial: with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers insignia {Inscription; 5th Irish Brigade]

Site Features: On granite plaque near entrance;This cemetery enclosed in March 1962, commemrates the Officers and men of the 5th Irish Brigade who were killed in this loop of the TugelaRiver on the 15th December 1899.
Marble headstone; This memorial is erected by the officiers and the men of the 27th Inniskillins, in memory of their comrades who fell in action on the 15th December 1899. Sgt. Magee, Sgt. Ireland, Sgt. Wylie and 18 privates.
