Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Lower Abrahamskraal Fm. Extensive S-facing streambank and hillslope exposure of very dark grey mudrocks forming base of >4m-thick upward-coarsening and – thickening packages (possible lacustrine playa lake / pond inflll). Lower massive dark grey siltstones with irregular pale palaeocalcrete fracture infills. Pass up successively into laminated to thin-bedded dark grey grey-green siltstones (local slickensides thin calcrete horizons), thin-bedded heterolithic facies, thin, grey-green silty wackes and medium-bedded wackes. No fossils found but site has research potential (sedimentology / possible fish orinvertebrate remains). Proposed Field Rating IIIC Local Resource.
