Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability

The farms of Devon 277 RE and Botha Portion 1 are situated approximately 50 km west of Kuruman along the R380 and R31, approximately 10 km south of Hotazel in the Joe Morolong Local Municipality within the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality in the Northern Cape Province.
The farms of Devon 277 RE and Botha Portion 1 are situated approximately 50 km west of Kuruman along the R380 and R31, approximately 10 km south of Hotazel in the Joe Morolong Local Municipality within the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality in the Northern Cape Province.
A scatter of LSA lithic artefacts were identified at this location at the foot of a small hill or rocky outcrop on the banks of the Ga-Mogara River. The lithic artefacts consist of flakes and cores probably associated with the LSA in a 5m x 4m area. Quarts were used to manufacture the lithic artefacts. A number of flakes were retouched. A single core used for flaking of micro-lithic flakes was identified amongst the scatter at this location.
