A small scatter of shellfish occurs in the road reserve alongside the MR538 in the proposed New Gravel Link opposite the Grootdrif reefs. The shellfish remains are dominated by Black Mussel (Choromytilus meridionalis), with small amounts of limpets (genus Patella) occurring. No cultural remains were noted. Scattered fragments of Black Mussel were also noted in the Gravel Link, in open spaces surrounded by thick vegetation, about 75 m east of the MR538.
