Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

These artefacts appear principally to be Middle Stone Age in character. Artefact densities in this featureless plain are low where they occur at the surface and it is estimated that they would be similarly fairly sparse over the entire PV array footprint. A relevant observation made some distance away from the solar energy facility site is of similar Stone Age material occurring at the edge of a small vlei which in all likelihood held water in times of wetter climate. At relatively high densities of this material occur at the margins of the vlei.
