Site Comments:

PDV2011/002 comprises of several ruins which consist of tumbled stone structures that were no doubt once built somewhat higher than they stand today. The traditional historical construction method was still evident – two skins of larger stones were filled with smaller stones and gravel. Two structures and four stone mounds were evident with historical artefacts (glass, ceramics and metal) around the two structures. Another single stone mound was found.

Directions:
Located at the foot of a large dolerite ridge on the western edge of Paarde Valley.
