Site Comments:

This complex consists of three associated structures with one being immediately along the road reserve fence line. The ruins demonstrate the typical traditional construction methods with two stone skins filled by gravel and mud. The central structure is a very typical long house with three rooms and an external hearth and chimney-stack. The southernmost structure is smaller but also has a well-preserved hearth and chimney-stack, while the northern one is very poorly preserved. A variety of artefacts. including broken bottles, plates and shoes, was found around the structures but most seemed fairly modern.
