Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

The study area is scattered with the remains of prospecting and small-scale mining as noted in the archival research. The bulk of the incline shafts identified (RD03, RD05, RD13) are situated in side the conservation section of the development or on the periphery, just inside the developable areas. The remains of the vertical shafts at RD10 are situated in side the developable area and will be impacted by development. A set of prospecting trenches (RD06-RD07) and drill testing positions (R08) situated on the northern most ridge of the property are situated inside the developable area.
