This is the location of the remnants of a large brick structure linked to the main shaft complex. It is constructed of red fired bricks and stone. Associated with the structure are square sandstone foundations. The general area surrounding the main shaft is highly disturbed which renders the area of low scientific significance. Various structures are indicated on the 1930 map with which this site is associated. This site is therefore older than 60 years and is protected by legislation.
