Site S2 comprise of 2 community / recreational halls. The renovated halls are still periodically used by various organizations including more permanent use by the St John’s Ambulance, Rock-Cliff on Sea Unit. Both halls were built from shingle and cement with corrugated iron roofs and (some original) interior and exterior fittings in place. Construction of the structures dates to the 1930’s-1950’s; the period of the Umtiza Nature Reserve management of the property. Construction of both structures pre-dates 60 years of age; the structures are thus formally protected under the NHRA 1999.
