Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

EnviroMatrix is appointed as ECO at the Senekal Waste Landfill construction site.
Dr Gideon Groenewald is the Palaeo recovery permit holder (See attached). Unfortunately we are no longer working together and I am unable to make contact with him. He is not answering e-mail or phone messages.
See attached a photo of approximately 9.5m tree that is within the construction footprint. We found partial sections of 6 more within the construction footprint. All these fossilised trees is currently in-situ. We had GPS and photograph them as per permit requirements.
Can I remove them from the construction site and transport them to Bloemfontein Museum (Jennifer Botha-Brink). Please advise?
