A large cemetery was recorded north-east of eNcalukeni along a gravel road. The site consists of a graveyard
containing a large number of marked and unmarked graves (in excess of 50). Most of the graves have an east–
west orientation with headstones placed on the western side. Where headstones do not occur, graves are
demarcated by packed rocks. Burial offerings and grave dressing were recorded on several of the graves which
confirm existing social ties to the graves.
