Site Comments:

A variety of road and railway bridges across different rivers have been identified. They represent different technological developments, from concrete arch structures to metal truss bridges and stone culverts. What is significant in this part of the country is that many road bridges are located in close proximity to the railway line, in some cases even close enough to share the same substructure. Some of these structures have undoubtedly been upgraded in the past, but, unfortunately in most cases it is very difficult to determine when and what sections were upgraded.
