Alternate Code & Name: Bridge 4
Bridge 4 is underlain by sedimentary bedrock (Pa) covered by a foundation of building rubble. Shallow, Quaternary-aged alluvial deposits are exposed along the river bed. Quaternary profiles are sterile. There is no evidence for the accumulation and preservation of intact fossil material within the 9 Quaternary sediments in the vicinity of the bridge. The underlying sedimentary rocks (Pa) are moderately significant and potential fossil heritage may be affected if substantial bedrock excavations are to be conducted here. The bridges have been sufficiently recorded, mapped and documented in terms of conditions necessary for a Phase 1 palaeontological impact assessment and can be accessed for further development.
