Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

These four graves have no headstones and are mounds of earth within the thick vegetation. The exact location of two of the graves (of the sons) are known, while the two other graves were difficult to locate in the dense vegetation – there general locality is known. The graves are as follows:
1. Graves 1 and 2 are for the sons: Siphumelele (died 1997) and Twano (died 2000)
2. Graves 3 and 8 are for their mother (died c. 1975) and father (died c. 1967)
The graves are thus between 42 and 9 years old. The remains of their houses are still visible. These are made of cement
and/or concrete and are not older than 60 years.
