Site Comments:

Recently semi-demolished remains of one of two farm workers’ villages on Wachteenbeetjeshoek, consisting of rectangular mud brick dwellings grouped in linear format, with remains of gardens. It is associated with the Msuthu family, which left in 2006. The homestead is constructed in the typical elongated U-shape of 20th century farm style architecture of the Ndebele. The courtyard (isirhodlo) is prominent although not decorated in Ndebele tradition (isikhethu).
