Site Comments:

WAA017 occurs at the base of the mountain and on a hill, which forms a spur besides a river. The site was not visited due to accessibility issues, and that no construction will occur on the hill. It was however clearly visible from the adjacent road and was thus noted. The site consists of an extensive wall 450m x 140m in size. The walling follows the hill’s contours. The aerial imagery indicates that there is smaller circular walling outside of the main walled area. No additional walling is initially apparent inside the main wall. The walling initially appears to be that of a large kraal, or a perimeter wall.
