Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

WAA040 is located at the top of the mountain overlooking the plains below.
WAA040 is located at the top of the mountain overlooking the plains below.
The site is a rectangular dry stone walled kraal 20m x 25m in size. The entrance to the kraal faces north. The walling consists of loosely packed local dolerite rocks ~1m in height. The kraal does not appear to be in use anymore. There is a patina on the broken rocks. This suggests that the kraal probably dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. Wind turbine 30 occurs ~40m from the kraal.
