Site Comments:

These three sites are located in close proximity to each other and are probably part of the same old farming related settlement (possibly farm labourer) dating to the recent historical period (between the late 19th and mid20th century possibly). The first site (Site 3) is a fairly large refuse midden containing glass, porcelain, metal objects and other material possibly dating to between the late 19th and mid20th centuries. The origin and history of the midden could not be traced, but it is believed that it is possibly related to earlier farming (and more likely farm labourer) activities in the area. The deposit on the site is fairly extensive and it is recommended that the site be mitigated prior to development
commencing. This would include superficial excavations and the sampling of material from the site.
