Site Comments:

This is a rock shelter with rock paintings against its back wall. The whole rock face have been weathered and there probably were much more paintings originally according to Van Vollenhoven (2012: 37). The panel consists of two sections. On the left hand side one figure is visible and on the right a number of at least eight figures. These are divided by red ochre lines in between. All the figures are monochrome – only red ochre has been used. The figure on the left hand side may be that of a woman. Rock art are usually linked to the San people and the site dates to the Late Stone Age.
