Site Comments:

This is the largest of the three Iron Age sites found on the property. Again it consists of a wide variety of stone walling. The site is found on and around one of the stone hills within the mine boundary. At least 13 different circular and elongated shaped walls were identified, but again the density of the vegetation made an accurate count impossible. The circles have a diameter of between 3 and 30 m and the walls a height of between 0,40 and 1,20 m. The one rectangular structure has sides of 10 x 30 m. As was the case with the other sites, the area was checked on Google after completion of the field work. Again it seems that a few more stone walls than those identified in the field, are present.
