ProposalDescription:

Proposed self catering units.

Expanded_Motivation:

SAHRA Head Office 111 Harrington Street Cape Town 8001 06 September 2013 To whom it may concern Rennie Scurr Adendorff has been appointed by representatives of Aysha Rasdien to renovate the property at 41 Jordaan Street, (Bo Kaap) Cape Town. We have attached the following documentation for your information and comment. • Completed Annexure A form • Title Deed • Surveyors site diagram • City of Cape Town Heritage Resources comment (Environmental & Heritage) • Our measured survey drawings of the existing dwelling • Our proposed council submission drawing • Photographs of the front and street scape, inside and rear of the dwelling. The brief was to create a building with six self catering units within the existing dwelling. The existing house located at 41 Jordaan Street is a Grade 3c property inside the Bo Kaap H.P.O. according to the City of Cape Town. The house is part of a historic row, but has been much altered both internally and externally. The concern has been to maintain the overall streetscape. Additional access is provided in an attic extension, set back from the street without altering the front roof slope. The modernized interior is to be reconfigured, but maintaining the basic layout with central stair and corridor and flanking rooms. The rear elevation to the lane is extended and opened up to give views of the City Bowl and Table Mountain. If you should require any further information for the BELCOM meeting on 25 September 2013 please let us know. Regards Marzuki Cloete
