ProposalDescription:

Proposed low cost Housing in Bryanston Ext.3 on erven 3975, 3976, 3977 and 3977, part of the Gauteng Rapid Land Release Programme ,Gauteng Province.

Expanded_Motivation:

The proposed housing project is part of the Rapid Land Release Programme (RLRP) which was launched by the MEC in 2018 in order to assist in alleviating the backlog of housing in Gauteng as the smallest province in SA yet with the greatest levels of in-migration. The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements (GDHS) as the responsible government department for implementing suitable sites for human settlement recognizes their responsibility to provide housing .based on Section 26 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (Act No. 108 of 1996). RLRP focuses on developing unoccupied and un/under-utilized state owned land. Successful implementation of this Programme will not only assist in alleviating the backlog, but would also decrease the possibility of invasions on vacant land.
