ProposalDescription:

EBS Docuprime <Bones> EBS is one of the four major terrestrial broadcast channels in South Korea which specializes in producing landmark documentaries and cultural programs. It has participated in numerous co-production projects with international broadcasting systems. EBS docuprime, the representative documentary series of EBS, has produced over 200 documentaries. Much like PBS Nova, the mission of EBS Docuprime is to produce programs with highest quality and provide lifelong education for everyone in Korea. The current project, <Bones> (2018), is a documentary series composed of three 50-minute episodes which analyzes human bones from three academic fields: Forensic Anthropology, Paleoanthropology, and Medical Science.

Expanded_Motivation:

Episode #2 - Bones Document History: Every time paleoanthropologists discovers new traces of archeoanthropine, people had a tendency to regard it as a proof that shows the supremacy of today’s human species. DNA in bones, however, tells us such belief is a biased idea. The Homonaledi, discovered in South Africa, shows that today’s human species is not the only kind. Bones of Homo neanderthalensis speaks that the Homo sapiens has not evolved entirely in its own. This brings us a question - what is a human being then? What makes a human being human? In the second episode, we seek to find answers to this question by looking into bones of archeoanthropines.
