Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Proposed upgrade and rehabilitation of Nyanda gravel roads which will include installations of culverts and stormwater drainage systems at Nyanda rural area ward 21, Emondlo, within Abaqulusi Local Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal

Expanded_Motivation: 

Abaqulusi Local Municipality proposes to upgrade and construct Nyanda road (2 130m long) & Ndebele road(2 589m long) which will include installations of culverts and stormwater drainage systems at, eMonldo, in order to provide easy access to the Local people. The proposed gravel road will be upgraded in order to create easily access to the public, so they can be able to cross the available stream and be able to access the other side of the village i.e. particularly children travelling to school. The proposed road upgrade will include the following a) Clear and grub b) Removal of topsoil c) Excavation of stormwater pipe trenches d) Construction of stormwater pipe (including the extension of existing stormwater pipes) e) Stormwater drainage pipe bedding f) Stone pitching and gabions. g) Caurseway with 600mmØ concrete pipes h) Earthworks – cut, fill, stockpile, and dispose etc.. i) Roadbed preparation, ripping and re-compacting. j) Road pavement layers – subbase, importation of G9. k) Road pavement layers – subbase, importation of G7. l) Road pavement layers – base/wearing course, importation of G5. m) Relocation of existing fence and services (water, electricity, etc.)
