Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

The existing dwelling is completely run down as is not aesthetically pleasing. The proposed additions & alterations will completely transform the existing dwelling, and in turn transform the area around as well Our client wishes to obtain permission for proposed additions & alterations to the existing house. The intention is to completely modernize the house as well as extending to the existing structure and dividing it into 2 separate houses, One for himself and the other for his son. A lot of the internal walls are to be demolished to create an open feel to the living spaces. All the demolition work is to be overseen by a structural engineer as to ensure that the structural integrity is not compromised. The upper level is also to be redesigned to create bigger rooms with ensuites in all the bedrooms. The façade of the building has a complete makeover, providing a contemporary look to the building.
