Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Conditions:

  1. The three specimens must be clearly labeled.
  2. The three specimens must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the name of the site, and the name and address of the permit holder.
  3. The three specimens must be hand carried or sent via a reputable professional courier service.
  4. The three specimens must be kept for study purposes only, and may not be sold or exchanged.
  5. The three specimens may not be loaned to any person or institution other than Dr Teresa Steele without the consent of SAHRA.
  6. It is the understanding of SAHRA that the specimens will be further couriered by Dr Steele to AMS Direct in Seattle, who will be responsible for radiocarbon dating the samples. 
  7. An interim report on the activities undertaken in terms of this permit must be lodged with SAHRA before the end of November 2014.
  8. A final report must be submitted to SAHRA before the end November 2015.
  9. Copies of any papers that may result from the export of the material must be lodged with SAHRA. 
  10. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  11. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
