Permits

Conditions: This permit is issued subject to the following conditions:- 

1. That the demolition is carried out strictly in accordance with application and reports received by Amafa on the 28 July 2013; AND that the walls and road surface are fully recorded (GPS and photographically) prior to the demolition/excavation and returned to as close to the previous condition as possible after the pipe line is laid;
2. That, in the event of any contemplated deviation from the proposed work, the prior written approval of Amafa AkwaZulu-Natali must be obtained;
3. In such event, a written motivation in support of such deviation must be submitted to AMAFA AKWAZULU-NATALI for consideration and;
4. No deviation from the proposed work will be undertaken without the prior written approval of Amafa aKwaZulu-Natali.
5. The demolition must take place not more than 30 days prior to the commencement of the proposed work, unless otherwise agreed to, in writing, by Amafa aKwaZulu-Natali;
6. Amafa aKwaZulu-Natali shall have the right to inspect the site where the demolition is to be undertaken prior to the commencement of the work;
7. Should any archaeological/paleaontological material be uncovered the consultant archaeologist must be called in and Amafa must be notified immediately. All rescued archaeological material must be delivered to the Amafa Repository at the Applicant’s cost.
8. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE CONDITIONS WILL RENDER ANY DEVIATION FROM THE ORIGINAL PROPOSAL UNLAWFUL, AND AMAFA-AKWAZULU NATALI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSTITUTE CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL ACTION AGAINST THE PERSON/S RESPONSIBLE.
9. The issuing of this permit does not exempt the Applicant from obtaining the approval of any other Authority, where required, for the proposed demolition and reconstruction.

Amafa AkwaZulu-Natali reserves the right to withdraw this permit if any of the above conditions are not complied with. This permit is NOT transferable.
