Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Thank you for notifying SAHRA about the proposed alterations to the Post Office, Clinic, Transport Building and Shooting Range on Robben Island, South Africa. It is noted that Robben Island is a National Heritage Site and a World Heritage Site

The following alterations are proposed:

Painting of walls

Painting of ceilings

Painting of cladding

Finishing coats to achieve complete obliteration

SAHRA has no objection to the proposed alterations to the Post Office, Clinic, Transport Building and Shooting Range on Robben Island. A Closing Report composed of photographs of the complete works must be uploaded onto SAHRIS upon conclusion of the project.
