Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The South elevation was altered due to the removal of the french doors and inclusion of stacking doors, detailed in architectural drawing 2022_G412-RRA-A00-XX-DR-A-01.12.002 attached to this application. The awning covering the veranda outside the kitchen was extended to provide further protection from external elements and covered outdoor veranda space.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The unauthorized work includes the addition of the stacking door and awning extension by the existing kitchen. This work was carried out by the previous owner as detailed in Letter: and in Affidavit by Ruben Reddy attached to this application. The alterations made to the existing plan was not recognized at the time of transfer in 2007 and was first brought to the attention of the current owner when he made an application to AMAFA to repair the damaged roof. No unauthorized work has been carried out on the property by Ruben Reddy, the main applicant and current owner of the property.
