Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Radiocarbon dates available for some layers (Deacon 1976):material from layer M between 6980 +/- 65yBP and 5900+/-90yBP; material from layer MB between 5900+/-90 yBP and 2870 +/-90 yBP; and CAF, CAFu and S all less than 2870 +/-90yBP with S layer being the youngest.
