Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

The existing house is to be extended to include a new Living Room. Internal spaces are to be reconfigured with no structural work required. An existing Covered Veranda is to be glassed off to create a Sun Room. An existing concrete canopy and shallow Veranda slab are to be removed to allow for the new Living Room. The exist structure is curved and has not relation to the exist pitched roofs and gables. The Entrance to the house to be created where the Study currently is. Exist Garage, Staff Room, Store and Laundry to be demolished and new Double Garage, Laundry and Staff room to be built. The existing structure does not accommodate 2 cars and access for a double garage in the exist structure if very difficult. Existing structure is single skin brickworks and will require quite significant remedial work. All new works to have pitched roofs and roof material to match what is existing on site. Gables to be kept and hips to new roofs to match what is on site. The house and site have no historical significance.
