Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

ILANGA CSP 7 AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE WITHIN KAROSHOEK SOLAR VALLEY DEVELOPMENT NEAR UPINGTON, NORTHERN CAPE PROVINCE Project Name: Ilanga CSP 7, 8 and 9 and associated infrastructure. This report refers to CSP 7 Applicant: Emvelo Eco Projects (Pty) Ltd Location: The facilities are proposed on the following farm portions: Lot 944 Karos Settlement; Portion 2 of Matjiesrivier 41; Portion 3 of Matjiesrivier 41; Portion 4 of Trooilaps Pan 53 and Portion 20 of Trooilaps Pan 53, located approximately 30 km east of Upington within the //Khara Hais and !Kheis Local Municipalities in the Northern Cape. Proposed Activity: The three proposed CSP facilities and associated infrastructure are to be developed as stand-alone projects by Emvelo Eco Projects (Pty) Ltd and will form part of the Karoshoek Solar Valley Development. Both Site 7 and 8 will be developed as tower plants and will comprise of heliostats and a molten salt tower system each with a generation capacity of up to 150MW. An area of approximately 1 526 ha is required for Site 7 and 1 520 ha for Site 8. Site 9 will be developed utilising parabolic trough technology with a heat transfer fluid (HTF), and a generation capacity of up to 150MW. An area of approximately 800 ha is required for this facility.
