ProposalDescription:

Existing historical building to be renovated to similar or original aesthetic. Demolitions to asbestos and non-heritage buildings on same site. New buildings to replace demolished buildings.

Expanded_Motivation:

Existing historical building to be renovated to similar or original aesthetic. External frontage to be maintained and used as public entrance to the prison administration. Security points moved out of building into new buildings. This allows for the restoration of windows and doors without heavy metal mesh that was later added. Site improvements allow for the building to be more visible to the public. Some internal walls must be modified for the efficient functioning of office space. Ceilings and skylights will be rebuilt in some areas to match existing condition. Demolitions to asbestos and non-heritage buildings. These buildings are on the same site and built from 1985. They are to be demolished as they are a current health and safety hazard or compromise the functioning of a prison facility. New buildings to replace demolished buildings. New buildings are to be built on a close approximate of the demolished buildings footprint. New buildings allow for the removal of high security points from the heritage building and dramatically improve the functioning and standards of the prison facility.
