Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

These are the details for the excavators: Excavation will be carried out by Messrs Hugo Pinto and Wesley Flear who have been engaged in the excavations of the MARA programme at Mafusing shelter (SAHRA 80/11/08/006/51) and Gladstone shelter (SAHRA 80/12/04/005/51) as well as Mr Jerome Reynard of Wits University. We know that Hugo Pinto has extensive experience in excavating human remains, but I'm going to ask Sam Challis for his CV. Please let me know whether you are happy with this arrangement.
