jonathan.sharfman 14/08/2012 - 10:30 The maritime unit has no objections to renewing this permit. The wreck site was extensively damaged during salvage operation in the 1950's. It is also a relatively recent wreck.

roger.smith 15/08/2012 - 18:00 I agree that these stone heaps are clearly mam made, but we (the permit committee) need know for what purpose and is appears that the only way to find out if they mark buried remains is to excavate. I support the application.

roger.smith 15/08/2012 - 18:07 The methods are not supplied but I would like assurances that the destruction of the bones and teeth is kept to a minimum (preferably small diameter drill cores) and that all skeletal elements are returned to the collection after completing the analyses. If so then I support this permit application

roger.smith 15/08/2012 - 18:15 I support this application- the applicant has posed a viable research question with a method of analysis that involves minor destruction, but within acceptable limits, and due diligence as regards the handling of human remains.
deano.stynder 15/08/2012 - 21:04 I support this study.
