john.rogers 10/08/2012 - 17:20 I have no objections. Difficult task for the archaeologist. My children and grandchildren live in the Lowveld, so I am familiuar with the intense cultivation, luxuriant vegetation and steep topography.

john.rogers 10/08/2012 - 17:41 Is this the second time that SAHRA are dealing with this request? I have no objection, but, spealking as a marine geologist and, seeing that the wreck is barely out of PE Harbour, could one not request a side-scan-sonar survey of the wreck and could the applicant not supply a few underwater photographs? Is this a fair request or can such work only be done once approval is granted? My argument would be that a recce is necessary and would help SAHRA come to a decision.
