ProposalDescription:

proposed additions and alterations to existing dwelling on sub 20 (01) of lot 2111 durban.ethekwini, kwa zulu natal.drawing no. 1265/17

Expanded_Motivation:

The purpose of the Additions and Alterations is to upgrade the existing building. The building externally is quite dilapidated and requires a refurbishment. The following pertains to the additions, alterations and refurbishment of the building: Internal: The basement fittings and finishes have been upgraded. The floor area will be increased due to the client’s requirements. External: The windows, roof, finishes and an extension to the front of the building will affect the existing building. The existing garage roof will be removed to allow for the extension to the main building due to the Town Planning requirements. The basement has been refurbished to allow for an upgrade to the existing fittings and finishes. The finishes have been redone as the original finishes were dilapidated. The client requires more space which is why the front portion of the building is going to be extended. The extension isn’t major and will allow for the client to have the required space provisions. The existing timber windows have been replaced with aluminium windows, the front extension will also have aluminium windows. The roof structure and covering is completely dilapidated, which is why the client requires for the entire structure to be replaced. The roof will be very similar to the existing, but only accommodate the extension. The external finishes will be refurbished to allow for the building to have a new look while still keeping with the Architectural style. The existing garage will remain, but the roof covering will be removed to allow for the extension to the front of the building to be carried out.
