ProposalDescription:

The proposed addition is to match the existing home internally. The new light-weight external clip-on element aims to read as a more contemporary addition, while continuing to utilize the red facebrick to match the existing buildings plinth surround. The proposal is to also reuse the existing timber windows where possible, while additional doors and windows will be aluminum ones which are less prone to element damage, requiring less maintenance. The color of these will adopt a darker anthracite grey to emphasis a contrast between new/contemporary and the old/original. In light of the above, we look forward to receiving a favorable response and Amafa's approval of this proposal.

Expanded_Motivation:

The building is currently a family home which requires remodeling and maintenance as the family has matured over time. The home currently is served by 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, with the intention to create a fourth bedroom / playroom by reducing the size of the bathrooms. The living spaces are intended to become one open-plan arrangement by demolishing all the internal walls and remodeling the kitchen to suit. These are all internal alterations. The biggest extensions are planned to better activate the 'back' garden which includes, a larger veranda with wide stairs leading onto the garden and new pool area. This is merely a lightweight lean-to structure attached to the existing / original dwelling structure. Although a pool was approved to be built under previous application, it was never constructed. This application seeks approval for a pool as well, but in a different position.
