Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Grid connection basic assessment for the San Kraal and Phezukomoya WEF Amendments - splitting the two WEFs into four -namely San Kraal Split 1, Hartebeesthoek East, Phezukomoya and Hartebeesthoek West WEFs

Expanded_Motivation: 

On the 10 August 2021 a Part I Application for Amendment of the Environmental Authorisation (DFFE Reference 14/12/16/3/3/1/2076) was submitted to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), in terms of Chapter 5, Regulation 27(2)(a) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 as amended. With reference to the above-mentioned application, please be advised that the DFFE has decided to grant the application for amendment of the Environmental Authorisation (EA) on the 29 September 2021. The amendments are described below. Hartebeesthoek Wind Power (Pty) Ltd received EA to transfer parts of the rights of the approved EA to its counterpart Project Companies: San Kraal Wind Power (Pty) Ltd and Phezukomoya Wind Power (Pty) Ltd. The split amendment has resulted in three separate Environmental Authorisations, as titled and referenced below: 1. Project Title: Electrical Grid Connection and Associated Infrastructure required for the San Kraal Split 1 Wind Energy Facility, Eastern and Northern Cape Provinces Holder of the EA: San Kraal Wind Power (Pty) Ltd DFFE Reference: 14/12/16/3/3/1/2076/1 2. Project Title: Electrical Grid Connection and Associated Infrastructure required for the Phezukomoya Split 1 Wind Energy Facility, Eastern and Northern Cape Provinces Holder of the EA: Phezukomoya (Pty) Ltd DFFE Reference: 14/12/16/3/3/1/2076/2 3. Project Title: Electrical Grid Connection and Associated Infrastructure for the Hartebeesthoek East Wind Energy Facility and Hartebeesthoek West Wind Energy Facility, Eastern and Northern Cape Provinces Holder of the EA: Hartebeesthoek Wind Power (Pty) Ltd DFFE Reference: 14/12/16/3/3/1/2076/3
