Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

UNAUTHORISED ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS ON PORTION 9 OF ERF 946 AND PORTION 13 OF ERF 950 4 THE DRIVE, DURBAN NORTH, 4051, KWAZULU-NATAL.

Expanded_Motivation: 

THE ORIGINAL DATE OF THE BUILDING WAS OBTAINED FROM THE MICRO FILM SECTION AND THE DATE GIVEN WAS 1970 WHICH WAS REFLECTED ON THE SUBMISSION FORMS. THESE PLANS WENT THROUGH THE SYSTEM AND WERE FROMALLY APPROVED. ON COMPLETION OF THE DEVELOPMENT, A DEVIATION PLAN WAS SUBMITTED FOR MINOR BUILDING WORKS WHICH CONSISTED OF TWO WINDOWS AND A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE INTERNAL STAIRCASE. ON SUBMITTING THE DEVIATION PLAN, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE ORIGINAL DATE SUPPLIED BY THE MICRO FILM OFFICE WAS INCORRECT AND THE CORRECT DATE WAS ESTABLISHED FROM THE ARCHIVES. WE HEREWITH NOW SUBMIT THE ORIGINAL PLAN FOR ILLEGAL WORK WITH A PAYMENT OF R4000 PENALTY. TO ENABLE A SUBMISSION TO THE MUNICIPALITY, IS IT POSSIBLE TO RECIEVE 1 LETTER CONDONING THE ILLEGAL WORK WHICH WOULD INCORPORATE THE DEVIATION AND ORIGINAL PLAN.
